perhaps not as MS intended, but it was my way of working "around", as all other techniques mentioned here did not work in my case.
The situation, document heavy on text, starting to add a schematic explanation. An image here and there, arrows, Word graphs, colors, text boxes, grouped elements, putting things to the front of text, other to the back, well a little of everything.
The problem: During general text editing, of course, the positions of the individual elements of my bigger picture start to change (&^%$#!), elements were jumping around and to figure out how the get it all back into place, oh brother!
Solution: Open a new document, grabbed the photos, the grouped items and copied them over to the new doc. Arranged all as needed, increased the over image size to the maximum on the documents capacity...and....PrntScr! Went back to the original document, Ctrl V, cropped what is not needed (portions of the screen), and enlarged the image as needed! Voila! Surprisingly, there was much less of a quality loss than I expected to be. It as quick fix if you do not need high res. Cheers!
