Redandwhite http://superuser.com/users/13239 2009-11-02T17:02:19Z 2009-11-02T17:02:19Z
This is a little bit of a subjective post, which aren't allowed on SuperUser.

Personally I highly recommend it over Vista and especially XP. There are a ton of huge improvements, and small tweaks to enhance the experience.

Still, you should form your own opinion.

I always like to start from the manufacturer's own promo page. They give you a good idea of the biggest features of the OS.

Then, after you know what the main features are, it's time to research whether they work as advertised. This is a great link which aggregates a lot of the major reviews: 27 Takes on Windows 7.

As a side note, Windows 7 has been reviewed time and again and many have declared it as the best operating system Microsoft has ever shipped. Ever.
