Possible Duplicate:
Redeeming an old laptop

I'm looking for some uses for my netbook that I plan on retiring. It's an Acer Aspire One, Atom N270, with a 16GB SSD and currently running Ubuntu NBR 9.10. So what are some good uses for this machine? It's far too underpowered to be an HTPC, but I was considering using it connected to a USB drive as a low-power, always-on file server. What else could I use it for?

A file server is an excellent idea. I'd recommend installing FreeNAS for this purpose. Your system can also double as a print server with a bit of configuring.
