I have a really small sample size of 50 people (yes I wish it was a bigger sample size but for now this is all I can get and is good enough for my own personal use).

According to a chart on Science Buddies I should use a margin of error of ±14%.

Yet when I use this on my questions I am getting a + rate of over a 100%. What do you do when this happens? Truncate it to 100% or leave it at 101%?

(This is probably not the right forum to ask but I can't really find any general marketing forums so thought to try my luck here.)

You're right this is not the right forum. This is strictly for computer related questions. See the FAQ(superuser.com/faq) – heavyd Feb 2 '10 at 4:34
Try mathoverflow.net – outsideblasts Feb 2 '10 at 6:11
Last time I tried to ask a question related to math(on mathoverflow) it got closed because it was too simple of a problem.......They want like University level math equations otherwise it is not worth there time. – chobo2 Feb 2 '10 at 19:33
I think there is a need for a statistics forum. Anyone want to start one? – Rob Hyndman Feb 2 '10 at 23:18

Questions on Super User are expected to generally relate to computer software or computer hardware, within the scope defined in the faq.

Maybe they did the math wrong using this formula. Try it yourself.
