I've gone through some of the other posts on superuser and some other online resources to find the answer to this question, but I'm not satisfied with anything I've found. Basically, I just need a Gantt chart creator that's somewhere between MS Project and Tom's Planner, which is missing task dependencies.

I started with Gantter and that seems the best option so far because it's simple but with most of the features I'm looking for. However, there's no option to save online and there's no downloadable UI.

I downloaded OpenProj and GanttProject but wow these seem really bugged out. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit so I might guess there is a compatibility issue somewhere.

None of these options has hit the spot. Any other good free suggestions?

Duplicate (though not containing a lot of answers): superuser.com/questions/12094/…. However this question is more complete than the other, with specific needs, so I'm not voting to close it. – Gnoupi Feb 8 '10 at 8:34

Yes, this other post is the first I had checked out on superuser. The only real answer I could extract from that post was GanttProject, since OmniPlan is Mac only. – NoCatharsis Feb 8 '10 at 16:28

Open Workbench is worth a look.

Planner has perhaps the features, you are searching for.
