In windows,
Displays the DNS entries in your cache, from which it is very easy to deduce which websites you visited lately, but not which pages in the website. Note that this remains after you deleted your webhistory. It can be deleted by

Windows recent documents and applications opened. To stop it doing it: Right click on the start bar, properties, Start Menu tab and uncheck the boxes at the bottom. To clear them if they're there: Documents: Start menu button, right click on recent items and "Clear Recent Items List". Alternatively if you want to delete just one then Start Menu Button, Recent Items then right click on it and delete (don't forget to empty the recycle bin). Applications: Start menu button, right click on each item and "Remove From This List". (All assumes Vista - XP not so different that you couldn't work it out by looking in roughly the same places...) | ||||

My browser is set to store history for a few years. Encrypting ~/.mozilla is more than enough to secure against my ${FAMILY_MEMBER}s. | |||||||
