Within the past several years, I remember reading a tech blog (Scobleizer? someone else?) that covered a book written for non-geeks on safe computing -- how to avoid malware, how to stay secure, etc. I don't recall any more specifics about the book. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Or am I misremembering?

I'm looking for material with which to train non-technical users on how to use computers safely.

How about sending them to superuser.com? – Ivo Flipse Feb 10 '10 at 14:32
I don't know that such a thing would work well. Various security concepts seem natural to me (at least once I've been told about them), but they wouldn't be obvious to some reasonably intelligent people I know. – David Thornley Feb 10 '10 at 15:09

This is a subject that moves fast. Given how long it take a book to get published, it would be modestly out dated before it could hit the shelves. I suspect that you'll find better resources online. But I don't have anything really good to recommend.

Bill is the author of The Hacker's Nightmare, which I must admit we've not read, but his blog articles are carefully written and researched.
