The Slingplayer application for iPhone has just been made available for streaming from your Slingbox over 3G as well as wireless. What streaming protocol does it use? Does it use RTSP, HTTP live streaming or some other proprietary protocol? Please, no "guess"-answers. I'd run a ethernet capture and find out myself if I could, but unfortunately I don't have an iPhone readily available.

Why was this closed as off topic? I think it is clearly related to computer hardware/software as described in the FAQ. Any advice on a more "on-topic" place to raise the question would be appreciated. – stian Sep 6 '11 at 6:35

That's a guess, and a quite bad one too. SSH is only used for connecting and editing files on the phone in this article. – stian Feb 15 '10 at 17:51
