Possible Duplicate:
What’s the best domain name registrar you’ve used so far, or one you can recommend?

I've registered domains through GoDaddy in the past and I'm just fed up with them.

Can anyone chime and with good registrar experiences?

I want full control with zero hassle. Too much to ask for?

I'd suggest NameCheap, they have a nice DNS service which is free with your domain registration & pretty cheap privacy proxy tools. I had a domain at Netfirms at one point but could not get their DNS servers to setup an A record properly...
