If you are looking to use RDP, port 3389 (default) would need to be forwarded to your work PC. There are many other options out there. Do a search here, or on google for remote control solutions.

Others have posted a few, one of the VNC options could also work.

Maybe a little more information about your work PC and the work environment would help us to better answer this.
