Is there any way to “restore” a .pst (Outlook Personal Folder) or .ost (Offline Folder file)?

Is there anyway from retrieving mail from an outlook/exchange OST file. Preferably I'd like to merge it with my new PST file.

This question was marked as an exact duplicate of an existing question.

You can read this KB from microsoft about OST to PST. I also would like to paste the guide lines on how to do this but I have a french OS so this page is displayed in french. Sorry about that...

Basically, transforme the OST file into a PST file and import it to outlook. Then, you may be able to merge these 2 .pst files.

I suggest also to download this software here:

Hi r0ca, The first one is for a exchange admin. I dont have access to that, plus the mailbox has been removed on the server. I just have the OST file locally. The second one links me to paid software. Im not going to pay for something that will only get used once. Thanks for your help though. – madphp Feb 16 '10 at 14:39
