I've got a printer attached to a Mac that I'm sharing over SMB. In the past to use this printer from Windows machines, you would use the Apple LaserWriter II NTX driver because it works as a generic Postscript driver. The Apple LaserWriter drivers are no longer included with Windows. I've also heard that you can use the Adobe Postscript driver, but of course it's not packaged as a normal printer driver but as an installer that helpfully forces you to pick out the printer to install the drivers to, and the installer doesn't work in Windows 7.

My question is if there is a way to install a generic Postscript driver to a network printer in Windows 7.
