Possible Duplicate:
Change screen resolution to exceed the maximum on Windows 7

My laptop res is 1366x786. I would like a larger resolution so i can program easier and see more lines of code. I know my laptop cannot display a higher resolution but i would like to see a larger resolution and dont mind a few scanlines being drop in order to have more lines of code on screen at once. I know my videocard can handle this bc i can plug it into a larger monitor and use both screens but i cant drag around a monitor.

Why not make the text smaller? Having a larger resolution than what your screen can display isn't really possible. – alex Feb 17 '10 at 19:45

Dropped scan lines can quickly make text unreadable. Many of the artifacts on a font are a single pixel high. – Chris Nava Feb 17 '10 at 21:16
