I was fairly happy using BetterTouchTool on my MacbookPro, when it crashed for no reason and gave no warnings whatsoever. It just stopped working and I think the only way to fix it will be a restart. So I started looking for a better solution to remap just few actions from the touchpad. I still have to try the original MultiClutch, but since they're basically the same, I don't think it will be much better.

This subject have been brought before, more than once or twice. But I don't want the solutions from those other questions here.

I don't know the underlinings on how this hardware works, so I want to know if native tweaking is possible. I don't like installing much stuff and putting more software running on the background, specially for simple stuff as this.

I've found some "old" news that says the new Snow Leopard will have better support for multitouch. So I guess this means we have to wait for 10.6.3, right? Hopefully not. :P

I just want couple stuff that I believe should come default:

  • middle-click "simulation" on the touchpad, with three fingers tap and/or click.

  • 3 finger swipe up / down for home / end of page.

  • and maybe some way to swap between tabs.

Anyone?

Move the background up top, otherwise a lot of people will just read " But I don't want the solutions from those other questions here" and close your question for not knowing how to properly use SU (which is really not the case here). Make the question different, be clear as to why your question is different, don't just give links to duplicate questions without expecting someone to vote to close. – alex Feb 17 '10 at 21:54
Aight. The background was first thing I wrote, then I figured it was better start with the question. But I'll take your suggestion, thanks! – Cawas Feb 17 '10 at 23:10
