It's quite easy to run out of "Storage" if you install many, or big, applications.

Do you know if there is a way to move some of the "Program" memory to the "Storage" memory.
A registry hack perhaps? A 3rd party utility?

While most installers have the option of selecting device memory or storage memory for installation, I'm not aware of a way to move existing programs without uninstalling and reinstalling. I hope I'm wrong and I'm curious to see what answers pop up. – Michael Itzoe Feb 23 '10 at 16:24
Back in the olden days of Pocket PCs we actually had a little slider to allocate memory between storage and programs. I was about to post an answer on how to use it... much to my surprise it isn't there anymore with WinMo 6! – Chris_K Feb 23 '10 at 18:13
Please review the FAQ. Questions regarding smartphones, unless it involves syncing with your PC, is not allowed. – Diago Feb 23 '10 at 18:21
@Chris_K, yeah, and that's exactly what I'd like to do :-/ – Nick Dandoulakis Feb 23 '10 at 18:44
@Diago, what? Anyway, PDAs are computers, not desktop PCs, but still they're computers. – Nick Dandoulakis Feb 23 '10 at 18:50

Could you just add an SD or mini-SD card to your device? I know it isn't quite the answer you're after, but a couple GB card doesn't cost much and can go a long ways. You could then install your larger apps to it.

thanks for the reply, Chris. My PDA has extra storage memory but this is a special case where adjusting the default configurations would be more convenient. Something like the "slider" which you mentioned in your comment. – Nick Dandoulakis Feb 23 '10 at 19:01
