how do I edit my startup programs for OS X? In particular I have this "Hotspot Shield" program I installed starting up everytime I reboot my computer. I want to remove it from auto-startup.

Assuming that program is started upon login, not upon booting:

System Preferences » Accounts » Login Items shows the things started at login. In that screen, select the program and click the "minus" button to remove it.
