I'd like to download a file from oracle.com https://profile.oracle.com/jsp/realms/otnLogin.jsp?remoteIp=x.x.x.x&globalId=&redirectUrl=http%3a%2f%2fdownload-llnw.oracle.com%3a80%2fotn%2fnt%2fmiddleware%2f11g%2fofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.2.0_disk1_1of1.zip

from my linux RH5 server, which doesn't have any browser.

I tried wget, but because I need to login first, I cannot download it.

How can I download the file

This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers.

Did you try lynx? That might be installed on your server.

Now downloading..with lynx-2.8.4 – portoalet Mar 5 '10 at 15:48

wget --no-check-certificate --load-cookies ~/.cookies/oracle --post-data "login=USERNAME&password=PASSWORD" -O - https://your.url.here > your.file.name

I do not remember exactly the options. So some parameter might be wrong.

You should be able to get by without the "-O -" and the redirect >... wget might just give it a random name though. You also won't need the post-data if you have a valid Oracle cookie either. – Goyuix Mar 5 '10 at 18:26

If he has no cookies the --save-cookies parameter might help. – Vasyl Boroviak Mar 6 '10 at 9:17

Download it with your normal computer and use scp to copy it to your server.
