From what I can tell, TruBrite is a high-gloss finish. If you plan to use your laptop with direct lighting (especially outside, but also inside when facing a window or other bright light source) you may find the mirror-like qualities annoying. LED backlights use less power than the older CCFLs, so you may save some battery power there. For my use, I'd leave off the high-gloss finish, but that's me. You might be able to find examples of both gloss and not-so-gloss finishes in a store, and see how much the reflections bother you. |
