I'm considering switching to Google Reader from Safari's RSS reader. One feature that I would absolutely miss from Safari is its Article Length slider it gives you for each feed, so you can choose to show more or less content. Is there any way to achieve this in Google Reader's Expanded view?

There is a script for Greasemonkey for Firefox which can limit the height of each article container to a predefined value (but further modification would be needed, e.g., to add a slider to the page if you need to vary this height, or to set up a feed-specific setting). This should also work in Safari with GreaseKit.

That's cool, unfortunately, I mainly read my feeds from work in Windows (though I do use Safari). But the existence of this script shows there is no way to do this "out of the box" with Google Reader, correct? – Dov Mar 11 '10 at 19:12
@Dov It would appear so. I can't see anything in the settings for this kind of functionality. – sblair Mar 11 '10 at 20:37
