Possible Duplicate:
What can I turn off on a vista laptop to free up resources

I have a new PC which runs Windows Vista. I have a good idea about how to make Windows XP faster straight out of the box, but my Windows Vista knowledge is limited.

What can I do to make it boot and operate more quickly?

Are there some services or boot configurations that I can disable/change to up my performance?

Also, do the changes specified also work in Windows 7?

Thanks!

Well first off Windows 7 is Windows Vista on a diet when looking at performance, so some of the tweaks might be unnecessary.

But this question seems a duplicate from: Default Windows Vista Install: What general changes to improve speed?
