Sadly my best software uninstaller Revo Uninstaller went commercial and I'm on lookout for a replacement?

Anyone got some suggestions, please?

Revo Uninstaller is still free, there are now simply two versions: Freeware and Pro.
You can see the differences between the two versions here.

An alternative free product is Absolute Uninstaller from Glary Utilities.

Yea, I know and "Extended scanning for leftovers - more advanced scanning algorithms" and "Forced Uninstall - remove remnants of already uninstalled programs" is something I'm looking for in an alternative. I'm not about to shell out bucks for something I MIGHT get for free. Sorry, I'm spoiled, and I do know how much work even the smallest tool can demand. – Don Salva Mar 20 '10 at 16:27

And yes I know I can hit torrent and rapidshare, but that's not my intention. – Don Salva Mar 20 '10 at 16:28
@NoCanDo: I'm using the freeware version, and I believe that it still does basically the same as before, we just don't get the new improvements. You might try Absolute Uninstaller (it only has one version). – harrymc Mar 20 '10 at 18:23

Have you ever tried CCLeaner ? I think most of uninstallers will search registry / folders for the "name" of one software and remove it :)

CCleaner = remove software + registry + " Clean / simple "

CCleaner only cleans broken references. Revo Uninstaller does much more : It also finds left-over programs/dlls/ocx/type-libraries, cleans them out as well as all references to them from the registry. – harrymc Mar 20 '10 at 16:01
What harrymc said! CCleaner is primitive compared to Revo Uninstaller. – Don Salva Mar 20 '10 at 16:26
I wouldn't call CCLeaner primitive - it's just not an uninstaller. – harrymc Mar 20 '10 at 20:51

Glary Utilities also has an uninstaller.

I have used it since I went with Win7 64bit and Revo didn't work with the 64bit. I honestly don't know how it compares to Revo. I really did love Revo but I don't want to pay for it.

Glary utilities have a paid PRO version like Revo and I couldn't understand if it supports 64 bit.
