arecord not working in ubuntu 9.10

arecord not working in ubuntu 9.10, but Sound Recorder of ubuntu is working.

Use parec, as arecord is not designed to be used with PulseAudio.

arecord does not work with PulseAudio. Use:

killall pulseaudio
