I'm trying to install Tomato and get "Upgrade Failed". Any idea why it's failing?

Try resetting to factory default, ui.linksys.com/files/WRT54GS/v5-v6/1.50.6/FacDef.htm, and reboot before trying again. – hyperslug Mar 26 '10 at 9:37

You have to install DD-WRT first and then use its upgrade section in the web interface to covert to Tomato.

No you don't. I've upgraded directly. – Matt H Jan 17 '11 at 0:05

Verify the model version number, not firmware number, range is from 1 to 8, lower is better. Then visit dd-wrt.com and find a compatible dd-wrt firmware update. Patience is required to find the right upgrade, increased performance may result.
