I would like to find a site that would notify me about upcoming cultural events in my city and some other neighbouring cities of my choice. Is there some?

The best site I know myself for the purpose is last.fm (internet radio) Pros: 1. It suggests events based on the music you listen 2. it allows to look through the list of events for the band you are listening currently to Cons: 1. you cannot just plainly specify list of bands and list of locations and be notified when something new of interest will appear | |||
