I need to configure country code between my wireless communication points. I am using madWIFI, wireless tools and hostapd set up in my ap(board- Linux OS(2.6.10)) , and am using OLITEC stick USB 802.11g card in my Windows machine.

I can communicate successfully using WEP,WPA-PSK and WPA , but I need to configure some more additional options such as Country code and Beacon period and Beacon interval etc.

WEP has nothing to do with country code. Also, Why do you care about country code if your client is 2.4GHz-only?

Edit: The MadWifi project's own website/wiki is a good place to go to get information about configuring those parameters on a MadWifi driver in AP mode:

Ok.Thanks. But how can i give it? Also i need to configure these many things using WEP or WPA-PSK as part of my project. Can you give your suggestions on thuis ? and feedbacks? It would be very help ful if can give more commands about each of the following things. Wireless country code , Wireless mode: 802.11 b/g (mixed), b, g, a , Beacon Period: Beacon interval in mS , BGProtection: 11B/11G protection (Auto, On, Off) TxPreamble: Set transmission preamble (Auto, Short, Long) , Tx Burst: Enable/Disable TxBurst , DTIMPeriod: DTIM period value , Rekey method(Time,Packet) – Renjith G Apr 8 '10 at 4:39

No. it is by modeprob right?? need to give and change the same in different times with out re inserting the *.ko me solved the above problem by hostapd configuration. My new doubt is how to configure TxPreamble in wireless communication ? – Renjith G Apr 8 '10 at 12:11
