I used to use Windows Live Writer for typing my blog entry and then uploading it to my blog, what do people use for this on Mac OS X?

A web browser. But no, seriously, which blog software? – Ignacio Vazquez-Abrams Apr 12 '10 at 1:13

I don't want to write into the website directly. I want a WYSIWYG client side application with all nice things like spell checker, insert a picture with Command-V etc. then I want to upload to my blog when I'm happy with it. – Ali Shafai Apr 12 '10 at 1:49

This is a very valid question, sometime I want to blog on the train where the internet connectivity is dodgy at best and browser base just doesn't cut it. – Jon Cahill Jul 6 '11 at 6:14

I've tried and liked MarsEdit, but it's not free.

There are multiple versitle tools which you can accomplish this with.

Firefox is very common and supports lots of add-ons and themes.

Safari is the default Apple tool.

Chrome is Google's and available on OS X.

Please read my question, I'm not asking for a browser :) – Ali Shafai Apr 12 '10 at 1:50
But a browser would be perfect for this. It will even do stuff other then add content to your blog! It's waffles! Though please tell us what blogging platform you're using so we can help you better. – Josh K Apr 12 '10 at 1:52
I'm using DNN for my website and it has a plugin called metapost (which I assume is exposing some sort of standard web service thing because when I go to my website/metapost.ashx I can see the wsdl-ish thing)... – Ali Shafai Apr 12 '10 at 1:55

I've heard Blogo http://www.drinkbrainjuice.com/ is to Mac what Windows Live Writer is to Windows. Still there's no as good tool for Mac than there's for Windows :/

Are you talking about blogging software for your WordPress blog or something? A good application I use for that is MacJournal.

It is very neat, considering you can use it on several blogs all at once. There is a demo version if you want to try it before buying.
