How can I hide file/folder in Finder and roll it back easily (like windows) and how can I tell Finder to show hidden files or not (like folder option(hide hidden file) in Windows)

I don't want a way like this.

"Hidden" files are pointless. There is no reason to have them. – Josh K Apr 13 '10 at 17:40
I just want know how can I see it in finder. – Am1rr3zA Apr 14 '10 at 9:19

@Josh Bollocks. Hidden files hide all the garbage that the OS uses to keep the file system ticking over, as well as configs and stuff that the user doesn't have to concern their pretty head over. There are a dozen visible files in my home directory and 90 invisible ones. Why would I want to look at all those files, or risk accidentally damaging them? Not to mention those .DS_Store files and ._files. If you could see them it would be like trying to wade through minestrone every time you went looking for a file. – stib Apr 22 '10 at 6:07
Amend my comment, make it "There is no reason to show them." – Josh K Apr 23 '10 at 20:58

Use hiddenfiles widget for dashboard.

you might want to look at totalFinder. Among other neat things (such as giving you tabs and split pane browsing) it lets you turn on hidden files in Finder.

Otherwise, open a terminal window and type

ls -a /path/to/your/folder

where /path/to/your/folder is the unix-style path to the folder you want to list. The easiest way to get this is to type ls -a, then drag the folder into the terminal window.

I use sterMachine Among other things, it lets you choose to see all hidden files. To hide files, you can just stick a dot infront of them...
