I do a lot of sketching with my pen-tablet. I use Microsoft Paint in Windows 7, and it is just perfect except for bad anti-aliasing.

I found some videos of Salman Khan, where his sketching is really smooth and anti-aliased. Do you know what program he might use?

You can see a bit of its interface here:

and some more:

Else, you can recommend me something else. I hope to find something like Microsoft Paint in Windows 7, but anti-aliased, or whatever.

Of all mentioned, SketchBook Pro has my highest vote...

But I wish to add also OpenCanvas, at portalgraphics.net/en/ , which has an outstanding "feel" for sketching (there was a really nice free beta somewhere, a very old version). Some pros prefer it to Painter, but that's a matter of personal preferences. But it can play in that league.

And, Mypaint, which is free, while still not fully featured (But I sketch comfortably with it already) has good stroke response and is really promising, and multi platform -windows version available- :

Others which somehow could be mentioned: Twistedbrush free edition, and Artweaver.

( For inkscape Windows users. The recent 0.48 unofficial win builds are way more stable in Windows than oficial 0.47, in my tests. Also, it has finally good wacom support in several issues it had. )

Here are some programs that you might like...

ArtRage Studio. (there are paid-for versions, as well as a free starter version)

There is also Paint .Net.

And Gimp.

Corel Painter series.

Adobe Photoshop family.

Autodesk SketchBook Pro.

And if you want the ultimate in anti-aliased, the vector apps: Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Inkscape.

And yes, there are others...

I'd second Painter, it's easily the best drawing app I've used yet. – peachykeen Oct 27 '10 at 20:01

As mentioned in his FAQ, he uses "SmoothDraw3" (Free!). Scroll down to the bottom here: http://www.khanacademy.org/frequently-asked-questions#OVERVIEW

Any decent image editor should allow you to use your pen tablet. Photoshop/Illustrator seems to be the gold star for this, but other editors are geared specifically for pen based drawing.

For free software, you may want to see if Inkscape supports what you want.
