I want to create an image for the background of my iPod Touch. What the "standard" size that is used?

Look, I don't mean to sound rude here. I'm actually just trying to figure out if this question was asked to get a higher score for this website.

Seriously, Figuring out the size of the background screen doesn't take a rocket scientist. There are several default background pictures in the iPhone. You could Email one of the photos to yourself and see what the image size is. You can take a screen shot, pull the image from iPhoto (assuming you are using a Mac) and look at it's size. Go to one of the hundreds of websites offering iPhone background screens or even flickr.com.

Since I knew what the screen resolution was thanks to the Tech info in the Apple Store's iPhone entry, it was pretty straight forward to figure out the size.

Again, I don't want to come off rude here. The site name here 'superuser.com' gave me the impression of serious questions like: What is the root password for logging into a jailbroken iPhone? Or, for that matter: How do I jailbrake an iPhone or iPod touch?
