I am in the process of creating an internet radio station, but the two djs I have for it are not able to be in one place. I need for them to be able to login to a web based broadcasting session that still has full functionality. They need to be able to broadcast their live shows with talk and music. The music will be stroed on the server.

I have checked out the Broadwave media streaming server from NCH, but ti does not have the ability to login as a DJ from a remote computer.

I don't have any money for this, so I need it to be free. If this is not possible, I need it to be cheap!

This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers.

Use SHOUTcast from Nullsoft (freeware).

Can my djs connect and broadcast from a remote computer with Shoutcast? If so, I would be more than willing to use it. But they have to be able to connect remotley and broadcast! – Zachary Brown May 6 '10 at 7:08
Sure. When one connects, the other gets disconnected. – thelost May 6 '10 at 7:11
No kidding? So, if I had the server setup in the studio, then the dj was in another state with his notebook, he could connect to my server and broadcast as if he was in the studio? – Zachary Brown May 6 '10 at 7:13
yep! I'm looking forward to listen to your station :-) – thelost May 6 '10 at 7:31
