On Windows XP it's Tahoma, on Vista and 7 it's Segoe UI.

Tahoma and Segoe UI are the system-wide interface fonts on XP and Vista/7 respectively. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahoma_(typeface) and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segoe – skelly May 9 '10 at 2:12
