I would say the best download manager I have used is called Download Accellerator Plus. This program makes it possible to configure the number of connections you open to download a file. This can result in phenomenal increases in throughput if you have a fast connection capable of using the multiple connections to try to get more throughput. Many sites will throttle you per connection however if you open 100 connections you could conceivably get tot the maximum speed of your connection quite easily. I recommended this one to a friend who had a SDSL connection and he was awestruck by the difference it made in the download speeds. | |||
