Is there any way, such as an iPhone app, that will let me connect my iPhone to my iMac via bluetooth, so that the iMac pushes all audio through the iPhone?

Specifically, what I'm looking to do is be able to watch movies on my iMac with the sound being played through my iPhone & in turn the ear buds.

You could use Airfoil For Mac and the Airfoil speakers app for iPhone. This works over WiFi though. And the Mac program costs $25 USD. The Demo of Airfoil has no usage limit but overlays noise on broadcasts longer that 10 minutes.

Not a bad idea, I think Airfoil will introduce lag if your not using their video player. rogueamoeba.com/support/knowledgebase/… – zimmer62 May 12 '10 at 17:56
Oh, sorry I didn't see this. It comes free with Airfoil though so it wouldn't be that hard to get a hold of. – Wuffers May 12 '10 at 18:02
I thought Airfoil first syncs its lag between all clients and makes sure that "lag" isn't introduced in your music. – Steven Lu Jul 23 '10 at 19:19

There is, but you need to be jailbroken (AKA, cracked)... if u still want to do that, only trust SPIRITJB (spiritjb.com) download it open it press jailbreak on it and let it do its magic work... not compadible with ios4... dont even try!! anyways once that is done, go to cydia and search. search up: MaciphoneBT not shure if its still there, its not cydia creators fav. program... he might have removed it... once youve downloaded it go on google on your mac and search up MaciphoneBT compliant for (your ios here) look around, and when you see a website that says "CYDIAPC: mac iphone BT compliant for ios 1,2,3download" press the picture to download it. no instalation requierd, the next time you turn on your mac there will be a colorfull bluetooth symbol on your dock or finderbar. press it, it will make your screen go gray, and then a loading orb like the vista one will come up. now open up the iphone app (Make shure that your iphones wifi or bluetooth is open (yeah this works with wifi on osx snow leapord server)) and it will send you to the bluetooth section or settings, and it will say "Conect to compliant/mac" press it, your iphone will reastart and you lock screen backround will have a bluetooth pic. on it. unlock your iphone, your mac will go back to normak, and you will be done. this also alows apps like icall (if you have it on your mac AND iphone) to work together. EG.: ihone is handset and mac is keypad and controll. this works with more apps than you think... EVEN EA APPS!!

your welkome! -SHADOW (actual name)

Yes, you have acces to almost everything, including spellcheck. when you go on to the MaciphoneBT app it will be like haveing an alternate app menu with apps that both your mac and iphone have that can work together over bluetooth, and ones that are on your mac that you can acces from your iphone. some of those apps include: spore, itunes, powerDVD, lightscribe (how you could get lightscribe on mac i dont know), the adobe apps, spell check, microsoft office, the sims 3, and many, many, more. you can also use your iphone as a source of memory like an EXT HDD for your mac, although i dont know why you would want to.
