Can you recommend a good free Tiling Window Manager for Mac OS X? Open Source would be a plus, but it's not required.

NOTE: I know about Expose', but it doesn't "tile" the windows as far as I know (but I would be glad to be corrected).

"what is your favorite..." is more suitable to a discussion site. i've changed it to "can you recommend..." instead; that at least gets us a little more into the realm of concrete answers. – quack quixote May 13 '10 at 17:10
there's a tiling-wm-on-Gnome question elsewhere; one of the answers there is OS X specific: superuser.com/questions/13395/tiling-window-manager/13404#13404 – quack quixote May 13 '10 at 17:23

I haven't heard of any alternative Window Managers for OS X, at least not in the sense of Xorg/X11 WMs.

Something that does what you want is SizeUp, though it's neither free ($12) nor Open Source. I include it simply because you might find it useful enough to buy.

The same developer used to offer TwoUp for free, though it's been discontinued. You might be able to find an older version to download.

I've also recently started using Divvy which fits my workflow better, especially thanks to the configurable keyboard shortcuts. – alexandru Jun 7 '10 at 21:08
