Possible Duplicate:
What is your notes taking tool?

I have tried google notebook & evernote free version for notetaking. I found google notebook has very few features whereas evernote free version is consuming too much memory and sometimes responding very slowly. Can you folks please suggest if there is any better notetaking tool out there? Thanks, Srikanth

I would have said that superuser.com/questions/134959/microsoft-onenote-replacement is a duplicate, but the accepted answer suggests Evernote which you've already rejected. – ChrisF May 13 '10 at 20:03
It's a duplicate of What is your notes taking tool?, also superuser.com/questions/492/…. – fretje May 13 '10 at 20:10
@fretje - I knew I'd seen something before, but couldn't find it. – ChrisF May 13 '10 at 20:20

Well OneNote is quite good. But it does cost $99 unless you get it with a Office suite or MSDN subscription.

Being from Microsoft it integrates into Office - which you may not think is a good thing of course!
