When i view certain photos in window photo viewer it stretched or distorted beyond recognition. What can i use to replace it? I prefer that it loads as fast as possible, have the ability to go to the next/prev photo and allow a original size or fit to screen option.

Perfect for the price. Also has the capability to generate thumbnails and batch renaming. Supports most formats. – Sarge Jun 7 '10 at 19:26

The photo viewer that comes Picasa is awesome. I like using that to replace the built-in windows photo viewer. It's pretty smart.
