I have a MacBook Pro but my neck is hurting from looking down all day - is there a good laptop stand I can buy and then get an external keyboard?

Yep... Laptops + >2 hours work = neck ache.
I have a Zalman 'Cool Innovations' stand for my MPB. It's pretty good, has a USB fan underneath to keep the body cool(ish).
In the past I've used books and a cardboard laptop stand that I built from old boxes using a template. That was pretty good for a while but you need some strong cardboard if you want it to last... if you're in one place it's fine... if you travel it can get a bit 'droopy'. But it's brilliant recycling-chic and packs down to the thickness of a small magazine which is great for co-working/hotdesking and quickly setting up shop for the day.
There is also a pretty sturdy cardboard design for you can buy for only £8.
As for keyboards the Apple Wireless Keyboard is perfect for me, slips into a laptop bag and, with iOS 4, will have the added bonus of tethering with iPhone for those longer emails on the move.
For my Macbook Pro I use a Logitech Alto Express laptop stand at work with an external keyboard.
