Is there a software or program that lets me SMS/text for free to cell phones and gives me a phone number to distribute to let people text my computer? all this for free? running Windows.

It's not a piece of Windows software, per se, but you may want to look at Google Voice - you can SMS from their website for free. If you need an invite (I'm not sure if they're requiring them still) leave me a comment and I'll send you one - I have 2 left. | |||
