What would you say is the least powerful computer setup you would recommend for current flash games?

Netbooks with small-ish screen resolutions aren't ideal for some Flash games that expect almost a full 1024x768 screen. So, avoid 800x480, 1024x600, etc. if you're buying on the low-end of netbook displays.

A general rule of thumb is that if you can use your operating system without undue lag, then you should be able to play a flash game just fine.

If, however, you have to wait any amount of time for your operating system to respond to events, then your flash game will have the same issue, since it is loaded into Memory and has the same constraints as anything else loaded into memory.

Some flash games are very heavy on the CPU, though. I've had trouble playing a few on my C2D @ 2 GHz here. – Joey Jul 18 '09 at 18:52
