I'm trying to pick an aggregator for RSS and Atom feeds. There are aspects of Google Reader and Bloglines that are incompatible with the project I'm working on. What else is out that that has a nice, big user base?

Personally, I use Microsoft Outlook to manage my RSS feeds. I think that would have the largest installed base.

Personally, I use RSSOwl It's java based and cross platform. Other options would be FeedDemon or RSS Bandit.

If you don't want a stand alone reader, you could always use the feature found in most browsers. firefox, for example, has a number of addons that do quite well at supporting RSS.
