USB stick won't show up

Please help me. My computer can't access my usb stick. It is detected but cannot open and show format and cancel message. How can I solve this problem?

Can you give some more details, what is the message you are seeing? Post a screenshot (When the dialog appears, press Print Screen, paste it to MS Paint, save. Then add the image to your answer by persing the Image icon in the toolbar of the answer box. – Nivas Jun 22 '10 at 7:23

if you're OS is UBUNTU linux, there should be no problem regarding about USB flash drives, if you want, you just have to research how to mount your USB drive.

if you want the easy way, know the drive of your flash disk and put it in the address bar, in my computer or in my documents e.g D:

USB sticks can easily and frequently go bad, and are not worth the expense of fixing them up.
