Possible Duplicate:
What to do if my computer is infected by a virus or a malware?

Do I just delete the ones detected? Is there some add-on to Clamwin I can use? Or some protocol I should be following?

(on Windows)

Ya, delete them. Unless you like being infected, that is.

Should I only specifically delete the infected files? – Justin L. Jun 24 '10 at 2:17

What else would you delete? Clean files? – MDMarra Jun 24 '10 at 2:35
Perhaps there is a whole virus framework, that extends just beyond the executable itself. – Justin L. Jun 24 '10 at 3:17
@Justin - What is a non-executable going to do without an executable? – MDMarra Jun 24 '10 at 3:31
It just seems a bit messy to leave inert fragments of viruses all over my computer. Sort of like "turning off" a satellite in space by destroying it and leaving its rubble in orbit. – Justin L. Jun 24 '10 at 5:00
