so this is basic but, the USA made "the switch" to digital right? So I dont need a PCI analogue tv tuner Card/Video Capture card... to use MythTv I would need a Digital one? There are many options, I dont want to buy an expensive paperweight...thanks

its a tv tuner pci card (Hauppauge or alike), that goes in a pci slot how is that not computer related?? – jtzero Jun 25 '10 at 1:26

I edited it....... both TV Linux and MythTV call them Tuner Cards but I also added Video Capture I hope thats the same thing – jtzero Jun 25 '10 at 1:58
