how to take screen shot of browser window with mouse , not whole desktop ?

is there any software or plug-in i can use to achieve this ?

To avoid confusion, consider clarifying if you mean using the mouse to make the screen shot, or capturing a screen shot that includes the mouse pointer. – Bavi_H Jun 26 '10 at 4:44

You need third-party software for that.

My own favorite is Gadwin PrintScreen freeware.

Will Alt-Print Screen not do this when the browser window is the active window?

ALT+PrntScrn should take a screenshot of only the active window. I'm not aware of any way to do it with the mouse.

Screen Hunter Free gives you the option of shooting the whole desktop, the active window, or a select area with or without the mouse pointer with the press of one key. It saves screen shots at JPG, GIF, or BMP with custom file names.
