This is my problem:

  1. Had a mirror raid with two 1 gb disk.
  2. The master disk failed
  3. I removed the master from the computer
  4. With the other computer I formatted it
  5. After placing it back to the PC with the RAID, it asked me about the disk replacement
  6. I have selected the formatted ex-master disk
  7. The PC started to rebuild the RAID and said: “Rebuilding”.
  8. After this, all of my files were gone! And the name of the disk became "formatted disk"!

Why did I lose my files? Any way to fix this mess up?

You had a RAID 1 array, right? What do you mean by "I selected the formatted ex-master disk?" – Fred Jun 25 '10 at 21:42
