I got the Nokia 5800 a few months ago, and I think it is not easy to find good applications for it. Or generally Symbian S60 5th have fewer good applications compared to Android. I am not sure how true this is, probably just my personally feeling after months of searching for good applications and get disappointed. I want to make full use of my phone, so I would like to ask you to share any great application you use for the Nokia 5800. I will try to compile a list here.

Actually the main reason for this post is to get a working editor for Python. (for S60 5th)

  • Python2.0.0
  • Nokia Ovi Maps (hard to find a place. But as a guided navigator application, it works well)
  • Handwriting calculator
  • Opera
  • BrighLight (useful sometimes)
  • Y-Browser
  • pyEdit (but I don't how to open an existing file...)

Board games: * Gomoku * Mancala * SoloNoble

That's all I have.

Sorry, questions about smartphones are off-topic on Super User (it shouldn't have been migrated in the first place). A better place to ask such questions will be the electronic gadgets site, once it will launch. You can already subscribe to it, if interested. However keep in mind that this is a "wide" question, asking for the "best applications", and such question tend to be closed after some time. –  Gnoupi Jul 4 '10 at 6:56
