Does anyone know if it is possible to have a small marker for augmented reality? I need to wrap the marker around a metal cylinder but because of the way the bar is engineered it can only be 3-5mm wide. It will be possible to wrap it right round the cylinder but it will have have to be thin.

Is anyone aware of whether AR is still practical with such a narrow marker -- most of the ones I see are 10cm square images? This will be so much smaller.
