On windows, what is the shortcut key that makes the mouse cursor disappear?

I used to know this combination but now I can't find it.

When you press it, the cursor completely disappears, even if you move the mouse. it only comes back again when you press something else.

Anyone?

I don't know of a keyboard shortcut to hide the mouse pointer anywhere in Windows. Maybe you remember a keyboard shortcut from a particular application like PowerPoint? – Bavi_H Jul 14 '10 at 4:48
I don't like people who down vote people who try to help. Especially with the accept rate you have. You should up vote or give a person a chance to fix his answer. If you are happy then you can accept the answer. Otherwise this community will become stale. Besides Windows never had a short cut to always hide the cursor, you must of had a program installed. – ppumkin Jan 21 '12 at 11:22

[Not sure how many Windows versions this goes back.]

In the Mouse control panel applet on the Pointer Options tag there is "hide pointer while typing", and if selected no special keypress is needed.

I don't know about the shortcut keys, but nomousy has such a function.
