Windows included Remote Desktop Connection does the job just fine.

Under windows - the default client, rdesktop under linux (using krdc for managing multiple rdp/vnc sessions).

And for the Gnome users out there, 'Remotedesktop Client' is a good frontend for rdesktop. – Mark Robinson Feb 11 '09 at 12:47

"Terminals is a secure, multi tab terminal services/remote desktop client."

I like the RDP with size scaling, the VNC support, and the tabs.

I am using the freeware RDP client visionapp Remote Desktop. It supports multiple connections and tabs which is very useful sometimes.

On Windows nothing beats Microsoft Terminal Services Client (remote desktop)

I find the EchoServer based VNC and RDP solutions to be very handy, particularly where firewalls and dedicated IP addressing are an issue.
