I just bought a 16" laptop, and was disappointed to find that the screen resolution is only 768 vertical. I have to do a lot of vertical scrolling in my work now, and it's slowing me down.

I don't need a super-powerful machine, but I do want a higher resolution.

What are some good laptops that have higher-res screens? How do I go about finding them?

Sorry, SU is not for shopping recommendations. – Hello71 Jul 21 '10 at 16:54
@Hello71: Fair enough, but there is a general discussion here about how the move to 16x9 screens has driven resolutions down to 768v, and how certain brands still offer something better. – Jay Bazuzi Jul 21 '10 at 17:15

@Jay - The FAQ says Avoid asking questions that are subjective, argumentative, or require extended discussion. This is not a discussion board – Sathya Jul 21 '10 at 17:36

An upvote doesn't necessarily mean it's a proper question... – BloodPhilia Jul 21 '10 at 18:17
